Area sensors provide detection without a dead zone in a work area. Structured to IP67 in a compact size, Delta zone sensors are easy to assemble and ensure operator safety reliably and cost-effectively.

  • The light barriers have detection dimensions from 50 to 1920 mm
  • For the barriers, several standard detection options: for the palm, hand or shoulder with a different grid of 10, 14, 20, 25, 30 and 40 mm between the individual beams

Introducing

Light curtains and LIdar

Protective light curtains are used wherever reliable protection of dangerous areas is required. They are optoelectronic devices that consist of a transmitter and a receiver respectively. They can meet safety engineering requirements of Type 2 / SIL 1 or even Type 4 / SIL 3.
Typical applications are access control and hazardous area control of robotic modules and production lines. For use in the food and beverage industry, devices with protective tubes and a high degree of protection are available. For the safe feeding of the material to presses and cutting machines, they are suitable for protective light curtains with floating dimming (Floating Blanking).

Zone protection (standard type)

  • Multiple detection capabilities: detects objects the size of a finger, hand and shoulder
  • Anti-interference: illumination angle < 5°, reduces the impact of external stray light
  • Self-diagnosis: simultaneously performs beam scan, voltage and channel diagnostics in each scan cycle
  • Easy installation: transmitter and receiver alignment indicators suitable for long distance installation
  • Zero blind spot: full light beam coverage; either end of the sensors can be mounted close to the surface
  • Rugged body: ball impact tested to avoid cover damage

Object measurement

  • Proactive protection: supports lock and restart functions
  • Presence detection: supports fixed / floating mute setting for presence detection
  • Distance measurement: measures the size and distance of up to 5 objects
  • Isochronous data upload: proactively and automatically uploads channel status data or a combination of data to the control system for immediate response
  • Power saving mode: the ON indicator. can be turned off
